# Setup MFA
MFA is Multi Factor Authentication an extra security step while logging in.
- Go to https://aka.ms/mfasetup and click on Add sign-in method.
- Choose Authenticator App
- Open the Authenticator App
- Click on the + and choose Work or school account
- Scan the QR code and the account is setup on the Authenticator App
- The site will show a number, enter this in the app to test MFA
MFA is now setup for your account.
